8 days trip seeing the highlights, with a 5-night Nile Cruise

Visit the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, enter the Great Pyramid if you’d like
(extra ticket, approximately $30), and ride a camel at the panoramic
viewing area (optional, around $20). Then visit the Grand Egyptian Museum,
the largest archaeological museum in the world (around 60% open, but it
may be fully open by our trip).

Fly to Luxor early in the morning (potentially a 3am wakeup), and visit
Karnak Tempe, the largest ancient Egyptian Temple. Embark on Kemet
Dahabiya, our luxury yacht and home for the next five nights, and enjoy
lunch on board. That evening, see Luxor Temple, and return to our private
yacht for dinner and an overnight in Luxor on the Nile River

After an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride ($120 per person), take in the
most important ancient sites on Luxor’s West Bank of the Nile: the Valley of
the Kings (including King Tut’s Tomb, and the Tomb of Ramses V and VI),
Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Then, begin our
cruise and start moving south on the River Nile, watching the countryside
float by.

1- Enjoy the slow pace of cruising the Nile on our luxury Dahabeya Yacht,
doing activities like reading a book in the library, relaxing on the sun deck,
and experiencing the Temple of Horus in Edfu, Egypt’s best preserved
temple.

2- Spend a relaxing day cruising the Nile, going past lush agricultural fields,
and stopping at the temple of Kom Ombo to take in the mummified
crocodiles resting there. By tonight we will be docked in Aswan, Egypt’s
southernmost major city.

With a very early morning wakeup (potentially as early as 4am), visit Abu
Simbel Temple by private vehicle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and
ancient temple that was moved, piece by piece, to save it from the flooding
due to the Aswan High Dam’s construction. After taking in Ramses the
Great’s masterpiece, return to Aswan, and enjoy an optional exploration of
Aswan’s historic souq (market), full of bustling vendors and lots of local
Egyptians shopping for anything and everything!

We will say goodbye to our Dahabiya Crew, visit Philae Temple, dedicated
to the goddess Isis, and then take in the Aswan High Dam. After that, it will
be time to fly back to Cairo, where we will check into the Le Meridien Cairo
Airport Hotel, conveniently attached to the airport by a skybridge, and relax,
preparing for our departure flights out of Egypt

If this is the end of your journey, you will have a private transfer from the
hotel to Cairo International Airport, where a meet-and-assist representative
will take you through the check-in process and ensure you are ready to
board your flight leaving Egypt. If you would like to stay in Egypt for additional
